I've always believed that humanity could do a much better job of living in harmony with each other and all other life on our planet than we are, and have been shocked and saddened by our race to self destruction in just my lifetime alone. It's seems like common sense that no one should want to hurt themselves or the ones around them, seek joy and ego-fulfillment at the expense of others, or destroy and pollute the planet we live and depend on, yet that is what most humans are doing right now. 

I've come to accept this as a part of our race - a part that each one of us must clearly look at within ourselves and personally overcome so that all of humanity may overcome it as well. A part it is time for us to evolve beyond if we are to survive as a species.

I worked in the nonprofit sector for many years, working hard to show people why they should make better choices and what those choices might be. I came to realize that the truth is unfortunately rarely a sufficient motivator for most people, especially if it's coming from someone else. We have too great a capacity for avoidance, procrastination, and self-deception.

We each honestly in our hearts want to be healthy and happy, to be treated fairly and with kindness, and treat others that way as well. But, it's hard to go against the predominate tide of mass-consciousness, especially when all of the media, product marketing, and government propaganda is telling you to do the opposite - to be greedy, vain, selfish, overly-competitive, and always at war with someone or something in your world. People lose their way as a result, and find themselves unhappy, unhealthy, and in a perpetual battle with life and everything around themselves - constantly trying to purchase their way to happiness or simply self-destructing with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and the empty poisonous crap that is sold for food.

Not to mention the countless forms of entertainment designed to prey on people's weaknesses, waste their time and their attention, and keep them in their unconscious patterns perpetuating the cycle of destructive choices. All in the name of greater and greater profit.

We love to be entertained. Love. It. Why can't it be enriching as well as entertaining? Why can't it help people learn to make better choices in their lives, instead of waste their time and awareness? Why can't it bring people together instead of creating artificial divides?

There is a change happening in the world. The ones who would choose to keep us unconscious and easily manipulated are losing their control. Their lies and deceptions are coming to the light. Their time is coming to an end and they know it and are scared and acting out.

The time for stepping up and being the best you that you possibly can be is now. The world needs what you have to offer. It needs your insight and your imagination. It needs your intuition and your compassion. It needs your hard work and your loving embrace.

It needs the answers that only you bring.
